Since their adoption in 2015, they have guided the world in tackling pressing global issues such as poverty, inequality, and environmental degradation. At the Greening Hub, we are particularly passionate about SDG 4, which focuses on Quality Education for all. Through initiatives like Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), we are dedicated to ensuring that education is inclusive and equitable and protects environment simultaneously.

Our mission is simple: to empower students, teachers, TVET institutions, businesses and our community with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to create positive change in our environment and society. Through Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), we are preparing everyone to tackle real-world challenges like climate change and social inequality. In addition, our guidance provides the insights on the training needed for the 21st century workforce and emerging job trends.

the Role of the TVET Council

Adapting for Sustainable Development

In the Caribbean, where challenges including climate change hit close to home, TVET is essential in equipping individuals with practical skills for the future job market. The TVET Council has begun this transition by aligning TVET curricula with sustainable development priorities from renewable energy to green technologies and more. We are also building partnerships with schools and businesses to develop innovative ways to that support sustainability while meeting the needs of local industries.
